Monday March 27 – After closing the weekend with cool, damp air off of the Atlantic, the return of warm spring weather has developed thick fog during the transition. Some places this morning have visibly under a mile and even down to a few hundred feet. The Dense Fog Advisory includes much of central Maryland and Delaware, but the biggest impact is on Maryland’s Eastern Shore where it could last until 10 AM. Delayed school openings have been posted for Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties.
Rain showers today will be this morning with the boundary to push the fog out. Then an isolated thunderstorm or two will develop this afternoon. Temps will jump back to near 70ºF this afternoon after the fog burns off, then a better chance of storms will develop on Tuesday. Looking ahead, a better chance of needed widespread rain will be on Friday. Here are the maps:
